On May 17th, 9-year-old boxing sensation Semaj Yancey Valentine was crowned the Illinois Olympic Boxing Junior Champion, delivering a standout performance that captured the attention of the boxing world. With speed, skill, and an unshakable spirit, Semaj dominated in the ring and earned his title with pride and power.
Trained by Coach Patrick Coleman ( CEO ) of PatCat Boxing and cornered by the renowned Gustavo Rodriguez, Semaj is proving himself to be one of the brightest young athletes in the sport. He is also a proud youth member of Breaking Generational Curses Academy (BGCA), a nonprofit based in Rockford, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, dedicated to empowering youth through education, sports, and mentorship.
